As a kid in Downeast Maine Seth developed an early fascination for the night sky. After learning how to use star charts and a telescope Seth gravitated toward stories of space exploration - not just stories of crewed and robotic missions, but also stories of diligent researchers and how their scientific discoveries changed our understanding of the universe.

Seth graduated from the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in 2011. In 2015 he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and studies in New Media.

After graduating college Seth created Radio Astronomy, a weekly half-hour talk show focusing on the night sky and the universe. During its four-year run the panel interviewed local and international experts in STEM, and conducted live shows and presentations at STEM events across Maine. The show also broke new ground as the first radio program to join the NASA Museum Alliance.

After interviewing the CEO of an aerospace startup in Brunswick, Seth left the show to work for bluShift Aerospace. Radio Astronomy continues as Scientifically Speaking, helmed by the remaining panelists.

As bluShift’s Communications Director Seth engages with the public, government, business collaborators, and investors. He also does a lot of manual labor at the test site.

In addition to podcasting in his spare time Seth advocates for the ongoing effort, led by the Maine Space Grant Consortium, to build SpacePort Maine. He also illustrates the monthly “What’s Up?” astronomy in the Portland Press Herald, authored by Scientifically Speaking Co-Host Bernie Reim.
